Military members in aircraft

The VECTR Center provides career advisement and counseling for all 22 Technical College System of Georgia colleges. In addition, in-residence courses are taught on site by Central Georgia Technical College (see Programs).


VECTR advisors will:

  • Help you find the right career based on your experience and passion
  • Assist translating and understanding your military and civilian transcripts in order to maximize any prior learning credit that possibly may apply toward your program of study
  • Help you navigate the financial aid process to include VA educational benefits, Federal/State grants and scholarships.
  • If you are interested in attending an accelerated training course program on-site, counselors will help enroll you in class and will be with you every step of the way
  • Provide you tools to enable you to succeed in your educational pursuits
  • Help you with your resume and interviewing skills
  • Assist you in finding employment

Community Support

The VECTR Community Resource and Resiliency Officer works to provide resources to transitioning military, veterans and their families in areas of housing, health care, food insecurity, and financial assistance.


Education Financing

Assist military, veterans and their family members to navigate the financial aid process that includes VA educational benefits, federal and state grants and scholarships.


Education & Training

The Veteran Success Coaches assist military, veterans and their family members navigate higher education, assist individuals in reviewing skill based careers and educational pathways to obtain viable employment. Success coaches review admissions and registration documents for completion for the VECTR Center’s accelerated college programs and short-term certifications leading to jobs in high demand careers.

The Testing Center

The Testing Center provides a professional testing environment for current military members, veterans and community members enabling them to perform at their highest levels so they can enter a study program, advance as quickly as possible, and certify technical competencies.

On-site services to include both paper-and-pencil tests and computer-administered standardized tests needed for admission, distance learning, workforce development, credentials, and licenses. Click here for testing information.


Employment

Veteran Success Coaches assist all transitioning service members and their spouses with job readiness strategies to include: resume assistance, interview tips, employment search techniques, academic advising, and education and training options.


Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC)

The VBOC program provides entrepreneurship training through the Boots to Business (B2B) and Reboot Training programs to transitioning military personnel, military spouses, and veteran small business owners and entrepreneurs. VBOCs work closely with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) District Offices, Resource Partners and other SBA recipients in leveraging resources when marketing the VBOC program and connect beneficiaries with SBA technical assistance resources.
